Martial Raysse. Recent Works
January 10, 2026 – March 14, 2026
Welcome to first-ever exhibition in the gallery dedicated to the legendary French artist Martial Raysse, showcasing the impressive results of his last ten years of work. This marks his second major show in a decade, following his 2014 retrospective at the Pompidou Center, and features new canvases that are incredibly rich and full of detail.
Born in Golfe-Juan in 1936, Martial Raysse was a leading figure in French Pop Art. He has a gift for taking the ordinary things we see every day—often inspired by the world of advertising—and making them feel extraordinary. Throughout his career, his creativity has taken many forms, from traditional painting and video to glowing neon and mixed-media sculptures. He always looks past the surface to find the hidden energy in everyday objects.
Raysse first rose to fame in the early 1960s as part of the New Realism movement and represented France at the 1966 Venice Biennale. However, his path took a turn after the social shifts of May 1968; he began to question his earlier Pop Art style and moved away from purely decorative art to explore deeper, more personal ways of creating.
