Presenting Masterpieces from the Musée de l’Orangerie’s collections
The art dealer Paul Guillaume, and later his wife Domenica, collected a remarkable set of works by Paul Cézanne and Auguste Renoir, which are now housed in the Musée de l’Orangerie and form the core of this exhibition.
It provides an overview of much of both painters’ careers, from the 1870s until their deaths, complemented by some modern works by Picasso and Kees Van Dongen.
The works of Renoir and Cézanne have had a profound influence on 20th-century art.
