Contemporary ArtExhibition Highlights
Since 1988, the Association des Ateliers du Père Lachaise Associés (A.P.L.A.) has been the heartbeat of the local art scene in Paris’s 20th arrondissement. Today, we bring together more than 50 visual artists living and working right here in the vibrant Père-Lachaise neighborhood.
Twice a year—every May and again in November/December—we invite you to step inside these private creative sanctuaries for our special open-studio events. It is a rare chance to explore hidden workspaces that are usually tucked away from view. You’ll get to meet the artists behind the work, including painters, sculptors, photographers, engravers, and ceramists, and chat with them directly about their passion and creative process.
Whether you are a lifelong art enthusiast or just curious, there is something for everyone to enjoy. It is a wonderful way to discover original pieces, support emerging talents showing their work for the first time, and experience the creative energy of eastern Paris. To plan your visit and see the full list of participating studios, head over to the official A.P.L.A. website or stop by a local information point. We look forward to seeing you there!
