PhotoExhibition Highlights
Discover at the Centro Niemeyer’s Photography Gallery the exhibition “Ramón Masats. Visit Spain”, a visual journey through Spain between 1955 and 1965, captured through Masats's lens and under the careful eye of curator Chema Conesa.
At a time when the country was beginning to open up to the world through tourism, Ramón Masats set out to portray a reality beyond the official postcards. With a personal and unique gaze, the photographer traveled across Spain to capture the rites and traditions that defined Spanish identity during those years.
Through these images, the winner of the National Photography Award shows us a sincere and moving portrait of a society that lived between faith, popular customs, and the simplicity of everyday life.
It is a special opportunity to glimpse the soul of a country that was trying to move forward despite the difficulties.
