Rubén Guerrero (Utrera, 1976) is one of the most prominent artists of his generation, working through a constant interplay between what we see, what we think, and how those thoughts are ultimately translated onto the canvas.

What makes this project especially compelling is the way it opens a window onto his working process. The journey begins with striking large-scale paintings and gradually leads us to the maquettes the artist builds himself to capture ideas before turning them into paintings. Although Rubén has a methodical mind, his work is driven by pure curiosity and desire. For him, painting is not about following a fixed plan, but about something alive that emerges naturally through the act of working, where intuition and technical control come together seamlessly.
