Contemporary ArtExhibition Highlights
Get ready to dive into the wild and creative world of punk at ARoS. Our latest exhibition, Unruly – The body in punk, shines a light on a revolution that was as eccentric as it was bold.
Through around 130 fascinating works, we follow punk from its roots in 1970s London to its evolution across the globe, with a special focus on the underground scenes of Berlin. It’s a story of energy, defiance, and incredible imagination. In a world they felt was crumbling, punks used their own bodies as a way to push back against the rules and speak their truth. Come and see how, in the world of punk, expressing yourself wasn't just about style—it was a powerful political act.
