The Museum für Gestaltung Zürich is Switzerland’s leading museum dedicated to design and visual communication. Founded in 1875, it is one of the oldest institutions of its kind in Europe it operates across multiple locations in Zurich, including the Toni-Areal, and is closely linked to the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
Its vast collection includes more than 500,000 objects, spanning graphic design, typography, posters, industrial design, photography, and decorative arts. It is particularly renowned for its outstanding poster collection, considered one of the most important in the world.
