The Accademia Carrara in Bergamo,is a unique space often called Italy’s "museum of collecting." Founded back in 1796 by Giacomo Carrara, the museum has a heartwarming history: its entire collection was built from the generous gifts of art lovers who wanted to share their personal treasures with the city and the wider world.
