On 7 February 2026, the Nederlands Fotomuseum—the Dutch National Museum of Photography—will open its new doors in the historic Santos warehouse. This stunning national monument is located in the heart of Rotterdam’s lively Katendrecht district, providing a vibrant new home for our work. Here, you’ll explore the world of photography through the eyes of Dutch masters and exciting new talents, spanning from the very first images of 1839 right up to the present day.
For over 25 years, it has been dedicated to preserving the stories told through the lens. As a global leader in archival care, our museum is built around an incredible, ever-growing collection that we expect to reach 7.5 million objects by 2028. This treasure trove of Dutch photographic history is at the heart of everything we do, inspiring all our exhibitions and public programs. We can't wait to share these visual stories with you.
