Exhibition Highlights
The Grand Palais and the Centre Pompidou have teamed up to bring something truly special to Paris: the very first major exhibition of Hilma af Klint’s work in France. At the heart of this must-see show is her incredible masterpiece, the 'Temple Paintings' (1906–1915), featuring the massive and awe-inspiring series 'The Ten Greatest.'
Step inside the mind of a visionary who was genuinely decades ahead of her time. While she studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, Hilma af Klint led a fascinating double life. To the public, she was a traditional painter of classic scenes, but in private, she was building a bold, experimental world that the world had never seen before.
Long before famous names like Kandinsky or Malevich arrived on the scene, Hilma af Klint (1862–1944) was already breaking all the rules. Her daring paintings—inspired by her deep spiritual beliefs—blend bright colors and sharp geometric shapes with soft, flowing organic forms.
After being overlooked for decades, she is finally being celebrated as a pioneer who managed to connect art, science, and the spiritual world. Her vision is just as inspiring today as it was over a century ago. We’d love for you to join us and discover this groundbreaking Swedish artist’s first solo show in France.
