Carreras Mugica art gallery

Carreras Mugica is a contemporary art gallery in Bilbao, founded in 1995 by Pedro Carreras and Ignacio Múgica, housed in a stunning space designed by Spanish architect Juan Herreros. In 2016, Guillermo Carreras, the next generation of the family, came on board as artistic director and now runs the gallery’s programme. The gallery works with both Basque and international artists and has a solid presence in the Basque art scene. With a particular love for sculpture, Carreras Mugica runs a mix of exhibitions that bring together established artists and emerging voices, creating a space for dialogue, discovery, and fresh perspectives.
