Claire Tabouret invites you to go behind the scenes of her latest creative adventure. You are invited to be among the first to see the life-size models for her new stained glass windows, even as they are currently being crafted at the Atelier Simon-Marq. The exhibition is designed to capture the unique energy of the workshop, giving you a rare chance to see a masterpiece while it is still in motion and coming to life.
To honor the vision for the Rebâtir Notre-Dame de Paris project, Claire chose a vibrant yet balanced color palette that ensures the windows will fill the space with clear, white light. She created this series using monotype printing—a technique she has been passionately perfecting for many years. It is a wonderful opportunity to witness her process and see a piece of the cathedral’s future taking shape.
Each model is a life-size reproduction of a bay in the cathedral's south aisle. Produced in monotype, a printing technique frequently used by the artist, they are enriched with stencils for the rosettes and decorative motifs. These projects respect the neutral light of the building, creating a soft transition with Viollet le Duc's stained glass, while offering bright, balanced colors.
