Exhibition Highlights
Discover the evocative world of Belgian artist Léon Spilliaert (1881–1946). Located on our second floor and created in partnership with Agnews, Brussels, this exhibition highlights Spilliaert’s unique talent for capturing deep emotion and a sense of mystery. Over a career spanning nearly fifty years, he became best known for his atmospheric works on paper that continue to haunt and inspire viewers today.
Following his celebrated 2020–2021 showcase at the Musée d’Orsay and a major 2025 exhibition at David Zwirner New York, we are proud to bring this collection to Paris.
The exhibition is thoughtfully curated by Dr. Noémie Goldman, a leading expert in nineteenth-century Belgian art and the director of Agnews, Brussels.
