Mickalene Thomas is a world-renowned artist from New York known for her bold and colorful style. Using everything from painting and photography to video and collage, she gives classic portraits a fresh twist. Through her unique queer and Black feminist perspective, she makes sure the stories and faces of Black women are front and center in art and history.

Deeply inspired by bell hooks’s famous book, All About Love: New Visions, this exhibition explores how love has the power to transform our lives and the world around us. It is a heartfelt celebration of freedom, identity, and the pure joy of being seen.
