The Battle of the Colours

Centre Pompidou Paris @Artlovers
Exhibition Highlights
Everyone knows the Centre Pompidou for the bold, bright colors that make it stand out so beautifully against the Paris skyline. But those iconic shades have a spirited backstory, shaped by a series of lively debates between President Georges Pompidou, the architects, curators, and artists between 1971 and 1977.
For our very first exhibition at Maison Pompidou, we’re taking you back to those early days through the voices of the people who were there. You’ll get a close-up look at rare documents and items never shown before—including original sketches, models, and even everyday building parts like tables, lights, and cables. Come discover how color became the heart of the project, right down to the smallest detail!
