Galerie Perrotin Paris Marais

France / Paris

Galerie Perrotin is a highly influential international contemporary art gallery founded in Paris in 1990 by the French art dealer Emmanuel Perrotin when he was just 21 years old. From its beginnings in a small Parisian space, the gallery has expanded into a global network with locations in major cultural capitals including Paris, Hong Kong, New York, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, Los Angeles, Dubai and London, totaling tens of thousands of square metres of exhibition space across three continents.

Perrotin is known for supporting both established and emerging contemporary artists, often working with them over many years to realize ambitious projects. Early in its history the gallery was instrumental in launching the international careers of artists such as Takashi Murakami and Maurizio Cattelan, and its roster now includes a diverse group of over fifty artists from around the world.

The gallery’s program features around 40–50 exhibitions annually, participation in about 20 major international art fairs, and initiatives like publications, podcasts, educational workshops and artist editions. Perrotin’s Paris spaces alone include several venues in the Marais district and on Avenue Matignon, reflecting its long-standing commitment to both local and global contemporary art scenes.
