Serpentine Sackler Gallery

The Serpentine Galleries, located in London’s Kensington Gardens, are renowned contemporary art galleries comprising the Serpentine Gallery and the Serpentine Sackler Gallery.

Serpentine South has showcased groundbreaking exhibitions featuring the work of 1,600 artists, ranging from emerging talents to the most renowned international artists and architects of our era.

Every summer, the Serpentine commissions an architect, who has not yet built in the UK, to create a temporary Pavilion on the lawn in front of the Gallery.
This annual architectural commission serves as a space for the gallery’s public programs and also operates as a café.

Established in 1970, the galleries are known for their innovative and dynamic exhibitions showcasing the work of both emerging and established artists.
