Exhibition Highlights
While "Wunderkammer" is German for a "chamber of wonders," Ana Juan’s version is much more than a traditional collection of curiosities. Over the past year, she has developed a unique concept created specifically for CentroCentro. Rather than a look back at her past work, this project sees the Valencian artist (born 1961) pushing her boundaries, moving beyond her famous career as an illustrator to explore the deep possibilities of contemporary drawing.
Step into a space designed for thought and imagination.
Here, Ana Juan shares her own personal universe—a place that feels both familiar and mysterious as she tries to find order in our chaotic world. You will discover a gallery of imaginary beings that interact, struggle, and transform. There is no single way to see this show; instead, we invite you to build your own stories and connections. Much like the tales in Ovid’s Metamorphoses, every figure and every element is a small part of a much larger, interconnected world.
Throughout the exhibition, Ana Juan stays true to her favorite way of expressing herself: the art of drawing. For her, it is the language she uses to understand and engage with the world around us.
