Over the last few years, the Prado Museum has been on a mission to celebrate the vital role of women in the art world. Whether they were the hands creating the masterpieces, the patrons and collectors supporting the arts, or the subjects depicted through the male gaze, women are at the heart of our history.

We have explored these stories through everything from dedicated exhibitions and guided tours to scholarly conferences, lectures, and specialized research at our Study Centre. Now, we are bringing that wealth of knowledge to our website with "The Female Perspective." Our goal is to share what we have discovered so far and to inspire a new generation of research.
