Exhibition Highlights - What you’ll see
What stories are held within the objects that accompany us on a journey of no return? The exhibition The Wandering Body. Spanish Exile 1939-1975 invites you to discover the living memory of the Spanish Republicans who went into exile. Through photographs, documents, and personal objects that still bear the traces of time, the exhibition brings us closer to the emotional effort of an entire generation to keep their ideals and affections alive far from home.
In this moving journey, created by the 'Mapas de Memoria' project of the UNED with the support of the Secretariat of State for Democratic Memory, objects and testimonies that for years remained hidden both in Spain and in the countries that welcomed them come to light.
