Exhibition Highlights
In his latest series of paintings, the British artist and researcher Robert Mead invites us to take a journey through the coastal landscapes of East Anglia, in the United Kingdom. Through his works, Mead explores how time passes through us and how we coexist with what is no longer there. His paintings are a poetic reminder that our presence here is fleeting, as if we were small traces in a constantly changing world.
What makes these pieces so special is the process behind them: Mead uses pigments extracted directly from the natural environment that inspires him. By applying these earths onto the canvas, he manages to unite the past with the present and memory with artistic creation. At the heart of his work beats a deep sense of loss, whether from the erosion of our coastlines or from personal experiences that fade away. It is a warm and reflective invitation to value the fragility of our environment and of our own existence.
