Iconic Madrid: A City of Stories
Discover the magic of Madrid through a whole new lens! In this exhibition, fourteen artists bring the capital’s most beloved symbols and legends to life. From the poetic soul of Gloria Fuertes and the bravery of María Malasaña to the bustling Plaza Mayor, the book-lined Cuesta de Moyano, and even the comfort of a traditional cocido madrileño, these works capture the true spirit of the city.
Running until May 3rd, the show features the work of thirteen acclaimed illustrators—including favorites like Lady Desidia, María Hesse, Adolfo Serra, Poliño Trapalleiro, Marina Hernández Ávila, Nuria Cuesta, Manuel Marsol, Jesús Gabán, Marta Ponce, Puño, Marta Chicote, Elena Hormiga, and Albertoyos—many of whom specialize in creating vibrant worlds for young readers. You will also find a unique collection of illustrated ceramics by artist Nuria Blanco, adding a tactile touch to the city's narrative.
To make your visit even more special, you can listen to original stories written by Rubén Arribas (co-director of El Duende magazine) specifically for each piece. These tales are narrated by the unmistakable voice of Claudio Serrano—the famous actor known for voicing Batman! Come and experience Madrid’s history as if you were stepping right into the pages of a storybook.
