Contemporary ArtExhibition Highlights
What color is a painting, really? This exhibition grew out of a conversation between Adam Pendleton and Adolfo Cayón, who began wondering why we often label an artwork by a single color—even when that color isn't the only one we see, or even the most important one.
In This is not a monochrome, we invite you to explore works by more than fifteen Spanish and international artists who have defined the course of art from the nineteenth century to the present day. This first part of the exhibition features a remarkable lineup, including Alberto Burri, Carlos Cruz-Diez, Jan Dibbets, Minjung Kim, Rotraut, Robert Ryman, Richard Serra, Jesús Rafael Soto, Antoni Tàpies, Wolfgang Tillmans, Anne Truitt, and Cy Twombly.
