Exhibition Highlights
Come and discover the remarkable life of Victoria Eugenia of Battenberg, a queen who truly left her mark on Spain. This exhibition celebrates her incredible journey—from her early years in the English royal court and her high-profile marriage to her life as a devoted mother. While we offer a rare look at her private world, the heart of the show is the way she transformed the Spanish court through her passion for charity and her tireless public work.
As the granddaughter of Queen Victoria of England, Victoria Eugenia first arrived in Spain in January 1906 to make her engagement to King Alfonso XIII official. Remarkably, she began her new life as the nation’s Queen just four months later.
