Right in the heart of the Marais, the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP) is a welcoming home for anyone who loves the art of the image. Housed in the stunning 18th-century Hôtel Hénault de Cantobre, our museum has been a vibrant part of the Paris art scene since 1996, celebrating everything from legendary historical shots to the most exciting contemporary photography and video.
Located just a short walk from the Seine, we invite you to join us from Wednesday to Sunday. Whether you’re visiting on your own, as a couple, or bringing the whole family, the MEP offers a peaceful, intimate setting to slow down and truly see the world through a lens.
Our ever-changing program brings together a diverse mix of world-class retrospectives and fresh work from emerging global artists. With a collection of tens of thousands of photographs, videos, and books, as well as a rich schedule of talks and workshops, there is always something to spark your curiosity. By blending storytelling, fine art, and experimental styles, we remain one of Europe’s most essential spots for photography lovers.
