"Forest of Resonating Lamps - One Stroke" is one of teamLab's most visually iconic installations, first exhibited in 2016. The work consists of a mirrored room filled with hundreds of Murano glass lamps hanging at varying heights, creating an apparently infinite forest of glowing vessels. When a viewer stands close to a lamp, it responds by shining brightly and transmitting its light to the nearest lamp, which then passes it onward in a chain reaction that traces a single continuous path through all the lamps before returning to the origin — inspired by the mathematical concept of a Eulerian path.

The mirrored walls multiply the lamps into an endless constellation, while the interactive light sequence ensures that no two experiences are identical. The work's title references both its mathematical underpinning and the poetic notion that a single human gesture can ripple outward to illuminate an entire world. It has become one of the most photographed artworks of the digital art era, drawing millions of visitors worldwide.
