Olafur Eliasson's The Weather Project, installed in the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern from 2003 to 2004, was a monumental and immersive artwork that captivated over two million visitors. The installation centered around the creation of an artificial sun, constructed from hundreds of mono-frequency lamps and a large semicircular disc. This sun was reflected in a vast mirror suspended from the ceiling, creating the illusion of a complete and luminous orb. Humidifiers subtly dispersed fine mist throughout the hall, enhancing the atmospheric quality. The mirror also provided a unique perspective, allowing visitors to see themselves from above, becoming part of the artwork itself.
