Centro de Cultura Contemporánea Condeduque (often referred to as Contemporánea Condeduque) is one of Madrid’s most important public institutions for contemporary culture and artistic experimentation. Housed in a former 18th-century military barracks in the Conde Duque district, the center has been transformed into a multidisciplinary space dedicated to creation, research, and critical thought.
Condeduque’s program spans contemporary art, performance, dance, theater, music, and thought, with a strong emphasis on process-based work and long-term artistic research. It supports both emerging and established artists, frequently commissioning new works and fostering dialogue between disciplines. With its bold curatorial approach and commitment to experimentation, Condeduque plays a central role in shaping Madrid’s contemporary cultural landscape.
